Retirement Clarity Session

This one-time 60-minute session covers retirement planning, general financial guidance, and next steps. After the meeting, a brief written memo with key action items will be provided.

The session may include discussion of:

  • Retirement timing

  • Income sources (pensions, CPP, OAS, investments)

  • Spending estimates

  • Tax considerations

  • Investment strategy at a high level

  • Risk factors and trade-offs

The session does not include:

  • Ongoing monitoring

  • Portfolio management

  • Tax filing

  • Legal advice

  • Insurance implementation

  • Detailed projections beyond the session discussion

A full written financial plan is not included unless agreed separately.

Nothing in our analysis or discussions guarantees profits, investment returns, or economic outcomes. We also do not provide recommendations for specific securities.

No Ongoing Relationship

This is a one-time engagement. There is no ongoing advisory relationship unless we agree to one in writing. You are responsible for deciding how to act on the information provided.

Fees and Payment

The fee for the 1-hour session is $320, plus applicable sales taxes.

Payment is due 48 hours before the session to reserve your appointment.

During our work together, you may identify additional needs, or our analysis may suggest strategies you want to explore further. This may require extra work beyond the original scope and may involve additional fees. If that happens, we will provide a quote in advance and obtain your approval before starting any additional work.

Cancellation Policy

Appointments may be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled meeting time for a full refund. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment are non-refundable.

Privacy

You agree that Evans Retirement Planning may access the personal information needed to complete this engagement. By signing the engagement letter, you consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws. 

If you provide personal information about someone else, you confirm that you have their consent to share that information as required by privacy laws.

We have a professional duty to keep your information confidential and to protect it in accordance with PIPEDA. You consent to our use of trusted third-party service providers where necessary to complete the engagement. We may also share your information with other professionals, such as your investment representative, bank manager, lawyer, or insurance agent, if you instruct us to do so.

Acceptance of Terms

By making payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms outlined in this engagement letter.
